Information on the prevalence of stimulant use disorders, screening and assessment tools, pharmacotherapy, behavioral therapies, and recovery support services is provided. The Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP) recommends a comprehensive approach to treatment, which involves addressing the physical, mental, and social needs of the individual. This may include medications to manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapies to help individuals modify their thoughts and behaviors related to drug use. The TIP also emphasizes the importance of family and social support, and recommends that treatment programs involve the individual's loved ones in the recovery process.
